Workshop to Address Markets for Recyclables

TALLAHASSEE Everyone involved in the recycling industry knows that without end markets for materials collected and processed as part of any recycling program, recycling cannot work.  Therefore, recycling professionals and anyone else interested in successfully starting and maintaining a recycling program must stay current with the latest developments in recyclable material markets.  This is especially important in a State that has a 75% recycling goal, one of the most aggressive such goals in the country.

The Florida Recycling Markets Workshop, sponsored by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) and administered by the Southern Waste information Exchange, Inc. (SWIX), is being held April 20th, 2016 in Orlando to help educate recycling professionals and other interested individuals about recyclable material markets in Florida as well as nationally and internationally.

Come listen and learn about the status and immediate future of markets in Florida for a variety of recyclable materials -- including paper, glass, plastics, metals, organics, construction and demolition debris (and many others) and find out how both government and private sector programs find and work with various materials markets.

The workshop costs $35 to attend and will take place at:
