Congratulations Florida Atlantic University

Students from Florida Atlantic University took first place in SWANA’s International Solid Waste Design Competition (SWDC) at WASTECON in October. SWDC is a student team competition to solve “real world” problems faced by solid waste professionals. This year’s project challenged students on “Evaluating Recycling Rate Metrics and Achieving Recycling Goals.” Congratulations to Sharmily Rahman, Bisho Shaha, Joshua Tronnier, Zachary Smierciak, Kaitlyn Luck, Andres Lopez, Jessica Chan and Sayd Hussain.
