SWANA Announces 2023 Young Professionals of the Year
September 19, 2023 — The Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA)’s Young Professional of the Year Award formally acknowledges the hard work and dedication of young professionals (YPs) in the solid waste industry.
Applicants submitted a letter of interest, a current resume, and letters of recommendation from an immediate supervisor and a professional in the solid waste industry with over 10 years of experience.
The award, which is presented to three exemplary Young Professional members annually, recognizes YPs for outstanding performance and dedication to the solid waste and resource management industry.

Each YP of the Year will receive a one-year SWANA membership, a WASTECON® or SOAR attendance voucher, a physical award presented at WASTECON® 2023, a member spotlight heading into next year’s conference, recognition from industry leaders, and more.
