MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED.  A minimum of two (2) years of experience operating a compactor, dozer, front-end loader, or excavator on a landfill or industrial environment is required.  Must possess a CDL Class B or higher rated license.  Must obtain a Landfill Operators Certification prior to completion of the one-year probationary period.

RECRUITMENT NOTES:

This position is assigned to the Landfill Division of the Department of Solid Waste Management.  The incumbent performs technical work that assists the DSWM Landfill Superintendent with the supervision, coaching and guidance provided to landfill staff that are actively working in the landfill operations. Employees in this classification are responsible for demonstrating the principles and practices of heavy equipment operation, as well as covering and enforcing all local and State regulations related to heavy equipment operation at a landfill.
