Orange County Government, Environmental Protection Division (EPD) is seeking a self-motivated and well-rounded individual to fill the position of Senior Environmental Specialist. This position performs advanced technical and professional tasks in support of an environmental regulatory program. The Solid Waste Permitting and Compliance Program’s primary function is to provide regulatory oversight of solid waste management facilities including modern landfills, recycling facilities, old dumps, and similar sites. Extensive knowledge of solid waste management as well as related county, state, and federal environmental regulations is required.
