Call for Papers – Talking Trash
Dear Florida SWANA members,
We hope you are all staying safe and healthy this summer! The next issue of Talking Trash is coming up and your colleagues in the solid waste and recycling industry are eager to hear about your best practices and experiences. The Communications Committee is inviting articles that may include recent innovative projects, interesting case studies, tips and best practices, lessons learned, cost saving ideas, recent hires, committee issues and anything else of interest to our members. Please forward submittals to [email protected] by Friday, August 16.
To advertise your organization in Talking Trash or to list a job posting on the chapter website, please contact Crystal Bruce at [email protected].
Please consider the following article guidelines and recommendations prior to submittal:
• Articles should be 500 words or less in length, although exceptions may be made for in-depth technical articles. If the article includes pictures or other graphics, word count may need to be reduced accordingly. If your article is too long, the editor may summarize or eliminate portions of the article, or ask that you do so.
• Consider your audience – Solid Waste and Recycling Professionals.
• Include the author’s name, affiliation and contact information.
• Photos are highly encouraged. Guidelines for Photos or Graphics: Include each photo or graphic as a separate file attachment, not embedded in a Word document. Resolution of digital photos should be 200 dpi or greater. File formats for photos should be JPG or TIF.
• Articles that are intended to promote your company, product, or services will not be accepted – these should be submitted to Crystal Bruce as advertisements.
